Default Opinions please...

I am replacing my engine over the winter. I already have the cobra manifold and want to do the GT40 heads. I DO NOT want to drop the gas tank and replace the fuel pump cuz i just did it a few months ago. If i did the heads would it be wise to do the injectors too? up them to 24lbs and get a pressure regulator? If i did do that do i have to recalibrate anything? computer, MAF, or anything. thanks!

Yea, I would upgrade injectors to a set of 24 lb/hr injectors. Also, you should get a bigger MAF while your at it and have it calibrated. Also, what size fuel pump are you running. Did you install a 190?

Sorry blue, but i'm going to go against you on this. I doubt he need 24's yet on his application. He can get them, but he should invest into something else first

I agree that he does not need 24's but, while its all torn apart i'd install them along with an aeromotive afr and down the road as time/money allow he can add a s/c or wet nitrous kit without having to tear the top end apart... it's just one less time to take apart and put together.. imo. if you have the $$ go for it... but in the future you'll need to increase full pump capacity if you go more serious with the mods...i.e. s/c or turbo

I also agree that he doesnt "need" the injectors, but it would be nice to have them in there anyway... for future mods.

BTW, I have a set of 24# injectors in my cobra right now that i will be looking to get rid of... fairly cheap (once i get my 42# injectors) since they will be too small for my turbo application.
