RE: Service Manual Question....
The only thing that I am worried about is that both of the books are original and Im not sure if I want to buy a 14 year old book. I dont want it to fall apart on me lol Can I get the EXACT copy of the original from Ford? If so, does anyone know how much they are? Thanks.

RE: Service Manual Question....
I just checked on the helminc. site and I got this:
1993 Mustang Shop Manual
Price: $85.00
Print to Order
Media: Paper
Language: English
Part #: FPS1219393
Is this the same manual as the 1993 Mustang Service Manual on Ebay for sale?
Im asking because the one on Ebay says "1993 Mustang service manual" but the one on helminc. says "1993 Mustang shop manual"
I dont want to spend $85 on the helminc. "shop manual" only to find out its not the one I'm looking for.
thanks for any help!

RE: Service Manual Question....
Yes, the FPS-1219393 "SHOP MANUAL" is the book you want. It is the size of a phone book (big). The "SERVICE MANUAL" is a small book full titled "Do It Yourself Service Manual", and it's only got basic maintenance tasks described like changing filters and wiper blades. Easy to get them confused because both are published by the Ford Parts and SERVICE Division. Helm is the printer/distributor Ford contracts with, and has been since the sixties.
My '89 shop manual has held up well, so if you can find a used one cheap, go for it. If anything, it lays open flat better after it's been used a bit ("broken in"). The pages are thin paper (about the same as a phone book), but seem to resist tearing.
So to summarize, you do want the SHOP MANUAL. I went and looked, and the book Helm is now selling is "print to order". Note that this usually means you will get a giant 3-ring binder version, not a bound "paperback". I looked at the one offered on eBay, and the cover does say "Service Manual", but it sure looks the size of a "shop manual". So I dunno; the best (and only) way to tell is the FPS-1219393 publication number which will appear on the lower corner on the back cover of the bound edition.

RE: Service Manual Question....
As I stated before, the one on eBay is the one you want. It is the factory service manual (I have exactly the same one) and is the best you could ever want or need. I purchased most of my service manuals used on eBay and they are all in fine shape. Unless the manual came from a dealership, the odds of anything more than a few smudges on a page or two are pretty slim. Again, don't forget the EVTM. It's worth it's weight in gold.
