well what gear was in it to begin with?...most people except way too much from a gear change.....going from a say 2.73 to a 4.10 you'll see great improvement as you should...the .55 is a good gear for a 5.0 and the 3.35 first geat the t-5 has........3.35 x 3.55=11.98 ratio is good anything about 12 you lose the importance of 1st gear

no difference? thats disapointing cause i was going to get 3.55's. maybe you should take it out of your neiborhood and go faster then 30mph. try that and then tell us how it feels

gears are not the miracle cure for lack of hp..it mearly puts you in the useable hp range a lil faster.....more gear creats more problem then solves for just street driver everyday cars such as gas mileage, undo wear on the engine meaning lesser life, traction issue will worsen, etc so the 3.55 is a great alaround gear..this is what's in the wife's car

I went from 2.73 to 3.55 two weeks ago and love the gears. You need to get somewhere to open it up. I went from having to dump the clutch in first to spin the tires with nothing more then a chirp in second to smoking the tires from a rolling start right into a long second gear and even breaking the tires loose in third. Also my speedo was off by about 20 mph at 2000 RPM. I switched to a 20 tooth speedo gear and I'm back to normal.

fishhawk, what happened to your fuel economy when you changed gears?

EDIT: also, how fast have you had the car and at what rpm were you at?
