Default Ram Air Kit

Who here has installed a ram air kit? Is it worth it?

I was thinking of going with this one:
Ram Air Kit

With this hood:
Ram Air Hood

With the ram air kit you have a chance of sucking sh*t into your motor... thats a big reason why alot of people do not run them. I believe the air box mounts right under the passenger side of the bumper. And than on top of pulling sh*t into your motor its going to be scrapping everywhere you go. I say just go with a K&N in the stock air box, remove air silencer and be happy. I wouldnt buy it.

It pulls the air from the hood scoops in the hood, not from the bumper. I think it's would be worth it, there is a mesh screen that stops sh*t from goin into your motor and there is a cone style K&N air filter included to boot. I would do it, the hood looks bad *** too.

It's not gonna give you anything great for an increase. About the same as a CAI. Under the speeds that cars move, the "ram" air pressure isn't enough to really make a difference.

I do like the look of the hood! -

I figure as long as nothing can get in, then it would be nice to have.

I've got the air filter and the air box lid for that exact same ram air kit if/when you decide to get it, I'll let that stuff go cheap, then all you would need to find is the hood mount.

Im sure it will give you some HP but to be totally honest, I wouldnt spend my money on it. You might gain a few ponies over a stock air box w/ a K&N filter setup. I would pass and put your money elsewhere. Unless you money flowing out your ****... and if you do send some my way!
