Are you talking about long tube headers? Its not just be with bad experience... trust me! Also, their "HTS" coating is the worst! My headers look like they are 100 years old after 600 miles! Everything burnt off already and they look like hell. Dont get me wrong, I love the sound but I would have to disagree on the quality of their products. The only thing that I liked from MAC is their ProChamber. Also, im sure the fitment is different beteween your 05+ Stang and a fox body.
I wasn't referring to my '05. I have installed on an '82, '85 and 93. Two thumbs up on all 3 installs IMO.
Damn, well... I guess I want a lucky one! Im not sure; maybe they changed their headers or something since I installed them. My install was about 3-4 years ago but I still remember it like it was yesterday [:@]

the long tubes real don't offer any more horsepower on most of your mild set ups....

I bought the MAC catback, installed it no problem. The next year I bought the MAC Hpipe catless. Just a bit of adjustment. Dont remeber who said it but, hang the system without tightening then align everything then tighten. The sound is pretty loud, some days I like it some days I wish they had a smoother sound.

Anyway, fit, finish, sound and cost, MAC has my vote

I have heard that their catback, h pipe is OK to install but their their LT's are a HUGE PITA. Dont get me wrong, I had them on my 88 along with a MAC Pro-Chamber and American thunders, they sounded great. But fitment and quality wise, two thumbs down IMO! [sm=smiley21.gif][sm=smiley21.gif]

I have there Long Tubes, they sit a little low but the install wasn't bad. Hoisted up the front of the engine and in they went. I think I may have took the hood off too.
+1 on there coatings, they suck. They have a newer coating, don't remember what it is called, but it is supposed to be better than what was on there...

the dura-black coating? That's what they've got on the newer h-pipes and catbacks. Works pretty good, idk if they've changed the coating on their headers.
