i don't have the exact numbers....but i guarantee they weren't designed to hold that much power (really torque). that's not saying it won't work. launching is what will destroy it. they can handle more if you roll into it. hold on


The AODE/4R70W in stock form can typically handle about 25 to 50 horsepower above stock power levels. Before planning many engine mods to an AODE/4R70W equipped vehicle, you should install our AODE Valve Body Kit. Installation of the Valve Body kit will allow 1997 and earlier AODE/4R70W transmissions to perform reliably in a 350 to 375 horspower application.
where did you get that kit? Wondering what valvebody they are talking about and how much it is.

i'm still rowing the gears myself man....auto on a street car[:'(]imo. but i would have a built auto (and a notch) if i wanted a track car
