How much of a differance?
If I went from an f-cam to a b-cam would it be a big differance in th low end. Right noe of the line the car feels sluggish, but once your up in it it pulls like crazy. The probly is I wanted a very snappy off the line car, so I am thinking about putting a b-cam in it. What do you guys think.

I think a B cam would make it worse off the line, but I'd have to check the cam specs again. What RPMs are you talkin bout here?

Isn't the F-cam for F/I applications?

RE: How much of a differance?
Some people consider low end 1500rpm and some consider it 3000rpm...

RE: How much of a differance?
I'm gonna say the B cam makes power higher than the F. The b cam has a lot less lift and duration, people usually say the E cam for street and the B cam for strip powerwise... and the F is a step up from the E. I dont think the B cam will give you what ur lookin for.
Edit, with that 4.10 gear ud prolly want a higher RPM cam anyhow |
RE: How much of a differance?
This is from the FRPP website:
------Peak RPM -------TQ BHP E303 2500 5500 F303 2800 6000 B303 3300 5100 So judging by that, if you want to stick with the alphabet cams the E303 would be your best bet. |
RE: How much of a differance?
Yeah those are gone now its 3.73's. maybe an e than I am not sure. But I have to do something aboutthis low end.
