should i supercharge my car?
i want to get either a vortech or paxton that has around 8 psi...the thing is i dunno if my engine is too old. i have around 110,000 miles (it was sitting outside for a year) and i dont want to blow my engine after puttin in $$$. also what else would i need to upgrade if i got a supercharger?

RE: should i supercharge my car?
You would need to change TB,MAF, and Injectors. Its hard to say if the car will react well to the blower. 110k miles is not that much but the car may have not been taken care of and beat on. Does it burn oil?

You dont NEED to get a new TB, MAF, etc. but its recommended to get full performance out of your car. I would definetly recommend installing a good set of head gaskets before you throw boost on it. You dont want to get a blower on your car and blow a headgasket a week later. What you will NEED is injectors and a fuel pump. Its recommended that you upgrade your exhaust, tb, maf, manifold, etc.

110,000 is nothing. i have almost that and look at the hp im making. i would do a compression test and maybe even a leak down test to make sure. if the car passes those, then go for. the vortech kit will come with an fmu and a in line fuel pump. id still buy a larger intake pump. a new maf and larger injectors are better then the fmu tho
