run an aod. hp much hp you planning to make? i went to ford-aod.com and talked to the guy who said i could build my aod to hold 600crank hp if i ran a hardned input shaft, new clutches and a lentech valve body. the kevlar OD band and a+ servo will take care of your OD slippage issues.

if you want, run a wide gear ratio kit in the tranny. this lowers 1st and 2nd gear in the transmission while keeping 3rd and OD stock. i was told by a ford tech that had the wide ratio kit that if you have 3.73's in the rear, and the wide ratio tranny kit, first gear would be like having 4.10's in the rear on a stock tranny, 2nd would be like 3.90's in the rear on a stock tranny and 3rd and OD is normal so its like 3.73's in the rear which is what you have. this way you still have good gas miliage and super low torque off the line. the wide gear kit is $625 tho. i may get it when i build my aod next year.

How much are you willing to spend? Thats the big question here. Also, I still stick by my opinion and saying not to get a C4 or a C6. A BTW C6's are heavy as sh*t.
