just wondering if anybody might know if this cam would work with speed density? also if it would work on an 86 with flat top pistons?

not ery many cams will work with flat tops without notching them. I would strongly advise that you look into a shortblock, oratleast rebuild yours with some normal pistons

well i had this crazy idea of seeing how fast i could get it using the e6 heads... i know it's a dumb idea.. but.. hey, i like to be different sometimes... i know the e6's dont breath well up in the rpm.. but what if i ran the cam advanced? instead of straight up or retarded? will that keep my power range low enough to still work with the ill breathing heads? maybe help make more torque cause i hear the e6's are good for torque.

the e6's arnt bad casting if you port them right, you can remove the intake "fence". E6 heads can be made to flow pretty well, with speed density though i would think major engine mods would be a problem.

that cam you posted isnt much better than the H.O cam ( 210/210 .444 .444) throw some 1.7 roller rockers at the H.O bumpstick and you increase the lift to .472 , about the same as that cam. You do already have a H.O cam in your engine right?

no it wont!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! reason is speed density runs of of vaccum..... with a 112/108 lobe ur vaccuum will be like aroun 12-15 hg, u need a cam that has atleast 114 lobe, go with the steeda 19 cam...

y would u throw bigger roller rockers to a head that stops flowing @ .440cfm... as far as advancing and retarding.... dont go more than 2 degrees either way... if u want killer tourque and idle go with an e303 advanced 2degrees
