Default Fog light wiring, but no fog lights ?????......

So there are wires going to where the foglights should be but there are no foglights, and those black plastic covers are still there, so i'm guessing there were never fog lights. Why would there be wiring if it didnt come with foglights ? Or is it one of those things that they do to all the cars, and whatever model or uprgrades and such you get depend on if you actually get foglights or not ?

They did after 97, but before that they had many diff. packages. They tried to make things cost effective pre-97. Yes they all had the wiring but no all had foglights. That makes it really easy to install foglights. You can pick up some nice Euro clear OEM style foggs on Ebay for $80 with the brackets! I don't like how the headlights have to be on to have your foglights on, so I actually bypaased that...pain in the ***. You're better off running seperate wires and leaving the factories there unless you could care less about that feature!

I'd rahter be able to have them on seperatly, i like the look of it better. So all i need now is the fog light.

Can you wire up the factory wires to make them work seperatly, or with just the parking lights on ?

+1 on all gt's come with wiring for foglights but not all of them came with foglights, it was like an additional $100 in the package or something if im not mistaken. 87-93 also has an issue if you leave the foglights on for an extended period of time with your headlights itll cause your lights to flicker off and on.
