Default Need Help....

OK well i just got this mustang for ridiculously cheap, but there are problems. Its a 95 5.0 vert

-Well for one cold starts REALLY affect this car... but i had a dakota i dropped a 340 in and cold starts werent great for that either

-My next one, when im driving in any gear the car loses power at 2500-3500rpm depending on the gear. If i go wide open the car will sputter and rpm will not raise and i wont really go any faster than what i already am at WOT. There is one spot on the throttle where everything runs smooth, thats about half throttle, if i go anymore the rpms raise and lower and drop a raise and the car sputters. And this is through any gear. It makes it very hard to accelerate into traffic. Im not sure how great i explained it to well

1st gear- hold it a half throttle will accelerate fine untill about 3000rpm then starts sputtering
2nd gear- same as 1st, if i go full throttle it will lose power and sputter untill i go back to half throttle
3rd gear- same as 2nd but can go till about 3500 before sputtering, same happens at full throttle untill half
4th gear- same as 1,2,3 still about 3000-3500rpm before sputtering, same happens at full untill half
5th gear- Considering the previous gears, i dont get up to a high rpm. But the same thing applys to the full throttle and half throttle

ALl gears shift fine and when its cruisin is sound AWESOME. I WANT TO DO A BURNOUT DAMNIT. just one is all i ask.

thanks guys

check your tps voltage, it should be constant throughout the range of the throttle. you may have a "flat spot" in your tps voltage. could also try the usual things like cleaning the maf

Sounds like maybe a bad TPS. Have you tried cleaning your MAF and IAC? Have you replaced anything on it such as cap and rotor, plugs, plug wires?

need to use a multi meter to test the TPS voltage. Remove the MAF sensor from the housing, hose it down with some carb cleaner, let it dry, and put it back in.

I think it has a bad ACL or MCL. But for real just take the intake off the trottle body and clean everything with carb cleaner, also the mass air meter. Check voltage and then you should be rocking!
