RE: Cost of Race Gas.......
lets see, av-gas 135 octane airplane fuel is 7.99 a gallon. and 110 sunoco is like 5.50 I think. Regular 87 is 2.14 course, I only buy 93 and up. down the road in SC, spinx sells 95 octane for 1.83. Damn SC gas tax is cheaper. I think the 95 is actually the same price as regular down there. Its funny, I don't know why though

RE: Cost of Race Gas.......
Why would you want to run that fuel if you don't need it. The lower you run, the more power you will get out of your motor. So unless you're running a lot of boost, or high compression, there's no need for it, and you'll get a loss of power. Lower octane fuels burn hotter meaning more boom. So it's cheaper and better to run low octane. I run 89 in my car as it is the same price as 87, and run 14 degrees timing without a ping, slight ping with 87 so I bumped it up to 89 and problem solved

RE: Cost of Race Gas.......
I'm running 10.5 true compression (N/A).
I dont really need the 110 but thats all that there is around here.
I think I'd be fine with real 100 octane.......
BTW, was at the track today and it was $6.75 for the same 110 Sunoco..
