+1 they hold in moisture and rust over time.save for a paint job. p.s. street cars get chipped.

Those cheesy looking '80's throwbacks rot the front edges of the hood. I saw a car once with a big chunk of the hood rotted away because it had a bra and the bra trapped water and made the hood rust.
Id much rather look at rock chips than a bra.
