Crankcase Evacuation system

RE: Crankcase Evacuation system
Never ran one myself but I am curious too. I was REAL close to getting one when I was getting fed up with messing around with the PCV. But I managed to fix that problem and haven't had an issue with it since.

Yeah, you can get away with running it in street. I guess my question would be why though? Were you running into problems with your PCV like I was? In some cases, it may be easier to add breathers or even a 2nd PCV.

What do you mean with the '5000 rpm max' comment?
I thought the original post was regarding an exhaust type system, not a vac type system??? Not sure though, we need more details on the question???
I did try running one of the air pumps that grabbem posted a link to.
I found it in a j/y for nearly nothing, and it bolted directly in place of my smog pump.
The bad this was that even at idle it pulled way too much vac. The vac pump was actively pulling oil out of the crankcase.
(there are vac reducers that would work, but they seemed too pricey for what I wanted to do)
It made one hell of a mess in the engine bay as I only had a small resevoir to catch the oil.
I ditched the setup after about a week.
