i took my '91 gt for a ride today. first off the clutch snaps down when i engage, so i started the car in first gear and it lurched forward. i took it around the block but couldnt get it out of first gear. when i was going to back it up the gears got stuck between 5th and reverse. it would not go into neutral. so i rocked the car i little bit. it loosened up. does anyone know what this might be?

This happened to me once after i ran over some Ice blocks and I dentted the tranny messing up the links ... the first thing I would do is look under and see if you hit anything

could it be just that the clutch is stuck enagaed

That happens to.. is your shifter covered sometimes **** falls inside and keeps you from shifting correctly.. That happened also I had a 50cent piece stuck in there from my girlfriends son

i can be sitting at a stop sign in neutral. when i goto throw it into first it does not go. it wont go into any gears. im stuck sitting there for trying to force it into gear.
