My 408 just got done. not yet in the car. i have alum heads [edelbrock rpm performers with est 10:1 comp], forged pistons/rods, eagle crank. ive been told im in the 450 hp range at crank w/ carb.

do you have fuel injection?

im putting mine on a '69 mustang convertible--would rather have f/i with all tuning options and dyno's in central Ky, but dont want to spend 3000 for the 'stuff'.

what are you running the 1/4 in? what kind of car?

I want to swap a 408 into a 90-93 gt as a project car...eventually dude when i get older im going to live in a ****ty house with a huge garage and alot of sweet cars...

Randy has a carbed 408W and hes putting down i think 434 at the wheels. which is good for low 11s.

a few fox bodys around town here have 408s and they go low 11s-high10s full street cars. One guy is going low 11s with power steering, full exhaust, AC, leather interior, power windows, street tires, the whole shot.
