New clutch - how do i adjust engagement?
my old clutch engaged at about 50% travel, but this new one, the king cobra, engages at about 3/4s of the way. it seems like there's excess travel for no reason, seeing as how it only engages at the last bit before my foot is off the clutch. they put a new clutch cable in too, so my question is, how is this travel length adjusted?

if its an aftermarket cable then theres an adjustment by the clutch fork. jack the car up, take the cover off the bellhousing on the drivers side, and it will be right there. also you could have an adjuster on the firewall

When I adjust mine I try to leave some play in the pedal when it is all the way out.
Basically you want to make sure it isn't too tight and riding the release bearing all of the time, but not too loose either.
1/2 way up is about right for it to start engaging. 3/4 is too high.

As mentioned above you need more free play in the cable. If you have an adjustable cable.
More free play (loosen cable) and the clutch grabs closer to the floor less freeplay (tighten up cable) and the clutch grabs higher
