will the 8.8inch be able to handle a 347 stroker from D.S.S. racing. If not should i spend the money for a 9inch or just beef up the 8.8?

beef up the 8.8. For the money it would take to modify a 9' to bolt up to your fox you could make that 8.8 pretty stout

i thought the 9' rear ends were from leaf spring suspension. I could definately be wrong though. Well just run it till the 8.8 breaks then throw some 31 spline shafts, a nice locker, and gears in there

i read an article in a magazine (can't remember which one) but this guy have a low 10 high 9 sec. car with a stock 8.8 from a 94-95 with a nice locker in it and it held just fine, i think you'll be ok with the 8.8 maybe a nice diff. and thats all you'll need
