anyone know how to fix any loose play in the steering wheel? thx

youve got to replace the bearing in the column..basically remove the wheel pull the turn signal switch plate and hope you can get the bearing out...most shops charge around 50.00 to do the fix if you go to a dealer alot more..the bearing you have to get from the dealer..

no problem i just did mine and i was going to take pictures but once i got going i just forgot...its not really that bad ..you can get a steering column tool kit(you get a puller and the compressor) just about any auto store plan a couple hours..if i do my other column ill take some pics, be glad its not a gm there a real bugger..

what about on a 2001 stang. is it the same setup. my wheel is loose really bad. how can i tighten it. everytime i hit a bump it goes side to side.
