Did the shop replace the throw out bearing retainer with a new steel unit? (The nose of the trans that the throwout bearing slides on) The stock aluminum one gets all grooved up and you could be hearing the bearing hanging up and poping loose from the grooves.
As mentioned above get the aluminum quadrant, firewall adjuster, and adjustable cable so you can control your clutch.
I had the stock quadrant break on my first 5.0 with only 3500 miles on it.

Thanks 454. Yeah, they replaced the bearing retainer, but with a stock aluminum number. I wouldn't think it would be bad already...but who knows. Today I went to the shop that did the work, and confirmed that they had disconnected the cable, operated the clutch manually, and that the clutch still made the noise (the last time I brought it in to them). I thought they had done that, but wanted to confirm. So it's not the cable, unfortunately. I'm just gonna roll it for now and see if it gets worse or better. I figure if it gets worse, then maybe they'll be able to see what the problem is when they tear into it for the third time. Thanks again.

Good luck, I would bet you would be okay..at least you get to drive yours, mine us up for winter already. How far do you push your clutch in before it makes the noise?

It's right before the pedal hits the floor. And actually, if I pull up on the pedal, and let the quadrant adjust naturally, it won't make the sound anymore. It's just that then, it grinds going into reverse--that's why I manually adjusted the pedal out one click. Thanks for the reply, man.

I was just thinking that maybe the pedal was going down too far. You reverse still grind even if you go 5th to reverse? I know that you know this, but R isn't synconized and will almost always grind.

Hey bro. Yeah, it grinds even if I go into a forward gear first...and I've tried all forward gears. It's because the clutch doesn't disengage all the way; if I use the stock self-adjusting feature, as soon as I let the pedal a quarter inch off of the floor, the clutch starts engaging. When I manually adjust the pedal out one click, it goes into R perfectly...if I select a forward gear first. It's just that since I adjusted the pedal, it has started making that click/tink sound every time I depress the pedal. I suppose I could just let the clutch manually adjust and forget about it.
