MSD 2 step and a 5spd trans?
I'm putting a digital 6 plus box in my car and was wondering if anyone has used a two step with a 5 speed, and how did they launch their car? Did you set the low limiter with the gas pedal, dump the clutch then release the two step or what?
Just curious because i have never used one of these yet.

You would set the launch rpms with the two step but im wondering how or better yet when do you release the two step in relationship with the clutch?...
I'm thinking this would possibly help me so i dont have to keep looking at the tach and the tree at the same time, gets me all crossed eyed.By the way,,i dont have a shift lite. But you've probably figured that out by now.

The first switch is on first gear (nothing fancy, just a switch that is engaged when first gear is selected from the shifter) and this is wired inline with a second microswitch that is engaged on the back of the clutch pedal. I found this was the best way to do it for consistent launches as the staging RPM only comes on when your foot is on the clutch AND first gear is selected- wiring to clutch switch alone would mean every time you stab the clutch, the slected staging RPM would momentarily activate.
I have seen momentary switches used, but I prefer not having to hold down any buttons etc and this way the system can activate any time you are ready to launch.
So stage at the tree or traffic lights, foot on the clutch, select first, plant right foot, staging RPM is engaged (say 3,000rpm which is the lowest setting), drop or ride clutch out and normal RPM limit will resume after you are off the clutch or pulling back for second, whichever you do first.........
Hope that helps mate- works for me, although I haven't hit the 1/4 yet- hoping to though, let this 400rwhp N/A 347 loose!
