RE: wat motor
either way your gonna spend a good amount of money, another option wolud be freshin up your stock bottem end w/ new bearings, and the works, maybe some new forged pistons. Summit sells kits for like 500 w/ new forged pistons. plus lets say 300 for machine work. then you can do your h/c/i. my thought would be there is no use building up a 347 if your gonna use the stock heads and cam. and being young doestn help w the $ issue. so i guessin you dont have a really big budget. so im pushin toward the 306 w/ h/c/i im guessin you could do this with about 3k.

RE: wat motor
Id forget the 347 and do a 306 HCI. The 347 is gonna cost a bit more than 1200, and comparing the gains to a HCI 306 its not worth it. It depends on the kind of money you plan on spending. Just give us a ballpark of how much u plan on spending

It's all about how much money you can spend. For what you are saying I agree with Mustang93....do a basic rebuild of you short block except get forged pistons, then the H/C/I of your choice but I'd throw in gears to that formula. That's the best bang for the buck in the price range you are talking, especially when longivity is a concern. ANY stroker combination is going to be way more expensive because to realize it's potential you'll need an H/C/I in addition to the stroker kit.
