you will need to beef up the driveshaft U-joints and the rear axles and posi unit if you do get to 500 HP as they will break with this much HP going to them. beefier brakes wouldn't be a bad idea either to help stop the car too.

yea thats a lot of h.p. your car would be in the shop/out of service forever it would seem. i think with a 351 you need new/different motor mounts. if i were you i would upgrade the car to those specs before you buy the engine . a 427 would be my dream engine though, maybe one day. oh by the way you must be ballin to afford all that.

the 351w based 427 is race only not for street use at all cant Forced Induction it either would not reccomend that setup for nuthin, go with a 408 with some monster heads and youll have over 500RWHP.

they are also quite useful on the street with all the idiots out there driving today who don't know what the hell a turn signal is for!

yeah i had all the tranny/suspension/engine locked into one project, as to ballin? absolutely not...SAVIN...thats all i do...and as to the 427 being illegal on streets im pretty sure PAW has a design for a longblock that is street legal, if not 408 will be the way i go as this will be my dd, i was gonna jus get the 302 with gt40 parts, but i hear the crack aronud 450 and i wanna put out somewhere between that and 500, anways thanks for all the help, didnt expect this many responses, hope all of you in fl are makin out alrite

Beware of workmanship on PAW built short/long blocks.
It didn't happen to me but to a friend of mine several years ago but a 350 (chev-eck) came complete with dirt in bearings, loose thrust bearing and one incorrect bolt on one of the mains.
We found these problems after I noticed the wrong bolt and so we did a quick look at things, glad we did...
