RE: 600rwhp....
yes a world class t-5 is much stronger than the non world class just make sure you use mercron 3 trany fluid not the 80w90 weight tranny fluid.... the reason being the blocker rings in the world class has carbon fiber lining on them and bearings under the gears... where as the non world class doesn't have the carbon fiber lining or the bearings under the gears

hmm, will the 351 swap in just the same as the 302 comes out? I'm pulling my motor this winter for the paint, so I'll already have it out. What should I do for internals and whatnot? Can I get 400whp NA from a 351w?
My heads will bolt up just fine right? Can I keep it EFI or should I go carb? I plan on getting new manifolds, probably systemaxII, so that'll help. Should I get lt's instead of my shorties?
I figure, 400whp NA, 500 w/ a blower, 600 on spray, sounds doable to me.

RE: 600rwhp....
I'd stick with EFI
I'd get all forged internals, donno what brands, but forged for sure. And i do believe your heads will bolt right up to that block, and LT's would be a great choice with 600whp

Yes your heads will bolt up, btu your lower intake isnt, but you are getting new ones so that isnt a problem. Just make sure you order intakes for a 351 instead of a 302. And i would probably go with the lt's for that kinda HP

wanna bet? i'll give you the number to my old tranny teacher and he can vouch for me that his 2 mavericks with over 600 whp both have a world class t-5 in them, the only upgrade done to them is ground down dog teeth (and thats only because i suggested it to him)

Thanks guys, I know of a guy that has a few 351's for sale locally for a few hundred bucks, what should I look for when scoping them out, or will it just be the obvious things like cracked block etc?
Also, is a 357 enough, lol? I mean is it much harder to take it to like a 383 or something from a 351 to 357, etc? Like isn't it just machine work/time?
