I am curious i have a 5.0 89 Gt and it was the police interceptor i am curious how much does the police interceptor chip adds???

i didnt think there were any gt ssps. thought they were all notches except 2 or something like that? maybe im on crack. if you dont get an answer here you could go to the "special mustangs" section and go under "ssp"

not much, usualy changes some settings ie. limiters for the most part, not realy sure what the police stangs have diff. on them

i've heard that they can go up to 160 instead of around 140 for a regular gt. but thats just from something i've heard. check google and you might find stuff there.

yea i dunno it has some cool light effects. some fans that can be turned off and like 1%tint and some other stuff. but yea i thought that they were only lx's til i found on a site that in nebraska and some other places they had gt and lx's.

regular gts some say the top speed is 140, like on the speedo. i've heard that interceptors that the limitors are set at 160 and the car is fixed to run 160 just like the speedo should say, but its just what i've heard from a few mustang guys. don't take my word too serious, sorry i can't help that much.

is yours a marked or unmarked? they had several different features for different departments. also i think defferent states ordered different features on them.

it says 160. and it is unmarked i was told it was a drug car a undercover cop car for the drug unit.
