and atleast another 100rwhp to hang in the vette territory

Both of those cars are very similar and put down similar numbers. The corvette was givin a lil more HP and is lighter than the TA i think, so it's usually faster. However F-bodys have gone low 13s high 12s stock, but usuually run in the mid 13s depending on driver. Both cars will destroy you unless the driver really sucks.

^^^That is correct. My friends 01 SS put down 325rwhp w/ only SLP airbox and loudmouths. LS1's are underated from the factory. I've seen a lot of them that put down 300+rwhp and the Z28's were rated at 310 at the flywheel.

my brothers friend had a 01 ss and it ran 13 flat completely stock.....

yeah ls1 cars sixty foot like its their job, and are all bussiness in the back half. most stock ls1 cars around here go low 13s.

i just dont see how it could be so much faster if they are the same weight and hte t/a puts out like 300 hp or so... its got catbak on it and thats it... so i dunno mayb like 315hp if that??... but with my upgrades after i get it tuned im hoping for like 275hp... so i dont see how he could crush me with only 25-40more hp... and a 75shot of nitrous should get me rite up there if not past... i dunno mayb im missing sumthing but thats just how im thinking... i heard the kid doesnt like to race.. but he floors his far every time he leave the tech building so who knows... i gotta school with a lotta vette and camaro loving hecks... so a T/A is bascially the same thing... i was goin to try and hold down for hte stangs but i didnt think i would be as far behind as u guess are acting.... and with new tires and gears i figured i could take him

i have beat stock LS1's with exhaust with my car. I got beat by a white SS once that had exhaust gears and lip and zip tie mod. I have never ever seen a stock LS1 go any lower then a 13.43 and that one had exhuast. They are not that freaking mean. You all are all scared!

Just run him man and work on your launching before hand. I think you can take him. The T/A's weigh more then SS's too. If the LS1 is cammed yuou better be cammed. I think you got a chance. Just put on some DR's, take out spare tire and unhook front sway bar and dont run him anymore then a 1/4 mile. G/L
