Default HOLY COW!

holy cow! my stang has never ran better!! i upped the timing a bit and holy shyt! i can chirp the tires coming out of first gear now! (AOD). it had never done that before! i guess because the people i brought it to to fix it, reset the timing back to like 8 degrees. i advanced that sucker to 13 and damn it made a difference! so much more throttle response. before it would just kinda lag. but now im having suspension problems with my 5 lug conversion. it feels really sloppy and dangerous.. just got an alignment but it is pulling to the right agian.. -_- or maybe its because i used shocks off an a sn95 that ran into a ditch and has been sitting up for around a year? hahaah

as long as you dont advanced it too much its ok.. the way you do it is by advancing it a degree at a time. each motor likes different timing. but when you do set the timing, drive around the block but you have to floor it. if it doenst ping in the top end of the rpms, you can go ahead and advance your timing a degree more. keep repeating this step until it pings. once it pings, just bring it back down a degree.

Yeah, mine too, so that means I borrowed a timing light from a friend and did it myself!
