There are actually 4 different setups you could have in a 95 GT... but chances are you have the 3.27s. I switched to 3.73s in my car and I love it! It will definately make a difference that you can feel, everyone reacts differently. I did it at the same time I put a shift kit in my AODE so it was a HUGE difference for me. But if you have an auto and you'r elooking for something more drastic, then get 4.10s. If you've got a manual tranny, then I wouldn't go beyond 3.73.

Either way, it's definately worth it. And if you get a pwer adder in the future, the gear change will only help you get into your powerband much faster.

2.73s. Big difference, and you wont be limited by traction because of your huge tires, so it will pull a lot harder off the line.

He doesn't necessarily have 2.73s in his 95... they came with 4 different setups (but only 3 different ratios.) In my experience, I found that most are 3.27s, but htere are two other options out there. Easiest way to find out... open your driver's side door and look at the sticker. next to "AX" you will see a single letter. That letter is your axle code and tells you what gears you have. Just post that letter here and someone will let you know what gear you have.

Don't you have to find out what size uhhhh w/e u call it is. Sry I am forign to this subject. All i know is there is a bunch of number when I look at gears. It's not just what year and what size engine like most things. lol i probably sound like a retard to yall.

Actually, I'll just post the four possibilities now so that you can check it out later.

Next to / Under "AX" you will see one of the following characters... 8, E, M, Z. Here's what they mean:

8=2.73 conventional differential
E=3.27 Traction Lok limited slip differential
M=2.73 Traction Lok limited slip differential
Z=3.08 Traction Lok limited slip differential

To have a shop do it will probably cost $250 - $350. It's easy to find what you're looking for. You just want a 3.73 ring & pinion set for a ford 8.8" rear end... it's that simple. They will kno what you mean / need. Also, make sure you purchase an installation kit as well. It's highly recommended and will probably run from $90 - $130 or so depending on what you get. As far as brands, for some reason most people seem to prefer Ford Racing. That's what i got and I was happy with it.
