Hey guys, I just found this on the K Dezines site. Fox hatch and coupe kits only weighing 14lbs!

It is NOT going to help your speed in the least. Those back seats are like 10-20 lbs if that. Only do it if you like the way it looks and you NEVER use your back seat. I wouldnt cause my back seat holds 2-3 girls easy. ESPECIALLY with the top down. Plus I dont really like the look of it epecially with my top down cause the back seat is VERY visible at that time.
Not with the girls that I carry around!!! [sm=alcoholic.gif][sm=alcoholic.gif][sm=alcoholic.gif]

IMO i think it looks stupid...b/c it looks like there is supposed to be a seat there with panels and crap...if someone came out with a kit that made it look like there was never any seats there and it weight nothing then i would consider wasting my money one it...if you want to save some weight remove the seats, removed seats looks just as bad as the rear seat delete kits, obvious and out of place!

Why would you need a kit to take out the seat? All you need is some carpet to cover the ugly spot.

I am doing more to my car than most would do. But if you take out the seat and replace it with a kit. You are just putting back in most the weight you took out. You can save weight in the sense that you replace the seat with speakers using that kit. If you want to keep that pretty stock look, you may save a few pounds with the kit. But not much. Those seats are quite light. But seat, seat belts, bolts, & metal tabs add up.

i was thinking about doing it because no one ever sits back there and my parents would be happy that only 1 friend would fit in the car

i think it looks bad ***, and my parenst also are happythat ican only fit one friendin the car. if ur just gonna take the seats out do it, if ur gonna build one of the online kits, ur wont be saving weight. the back seats dont weight anything.

its not really worth it, you should fix your seatbelt and window before you buy anything else...
