It is NOT going to help your speed in the least. Those back seats are like 10-20 lbs if that. Only do it if you like the way it looks and you NEVER use your back seat. I wouldnt cause my back seat holds 2-3 girls easy. ESPECIALLY with the top down. Plus I dont really like the look of it epecially with my top down cause the back seat is VERY visible at that time.

IMO i think it looks stupid...b/c it looks like there is supposed to be a seat there with panels and crap...if someone came out with a kit that made it look like there was never any seats there and it weight nothing then i would consider wasting my money one it...if you want to save some weight remove the seats, removed seats looks just as bad as the rear seat delete kits, obvious and out of place!

RE: Rear Seat Delete
Why would you need a kit to take out the seat? All you need is some carpet to cover the ugly spot.
I am doing more to my car than most would do. But if you take out the seat and replace it with a kit. You are just putting back in most the weight you took out. You can save weight in the sense that you replace the seat with speakers using that kit. If you want to keep that pretty stock look, you may save a few pounds with the kit. But not much. Those seats are quite light. But seat, seat belts, bolts, & metal tabs add up.
