Default Want to do a 351w swap. Non-forced induction

I was wondering if any body knew the simplest way of achieving 500+ horses with a 351w. I really don't want to go with forced induction because i'm going carbureted (93 notch 4-banger) and I want to start with something a little bit cheaper and easeier to work with. One concern I had was with the cam selection(z,x-303) as far as what pistons are recommended for valve clearance, and would the roller block 351w be the best option? What about a 396 stroker, any info on it(reliability, power, etc.)

Ok, first off talk to full auto for a stroker kit. He is a member on the site, and can hook you up and is very knowledgeable. Then talk to Jay at camshaft inniovations, and hell get you set up with heads and a valvetrain. You will be well on your way to 500 naturally aspirated.

BTW, i dont know why people says to bore your motor solely to add power, The only reason i would bore a motor is when the cylinder walls are all scored up, and it NEEDS a bore job. The full machining of the block is hardly justifiable by the few ponies you MAY pick up

+1 boring isnt for picking up power, its to get a "new" cylinder wall
