Do it right? What exactly do you mean by that? It's a hollow tube sticking out of his midpipe and he wants to plug it. A plug is a plug. It's not like it's going to kill performance or look ugly or anything. And it's not like anyone can see it.

cut it off braze a plate over it...i guess capping it isn't that bad..i couldnt find anything to cap or plug it so i cut it off and brazed a plate over it that i made out of the pipe i cut off...

that's cool man. it's just not for me. when i bought my car it was just left wide open and the crossover pipe on back of heads was capped off. didn't cost me any money to fix it and it looks ok. you're right nobody will see it but me. everyone has their own opinions on what a cob job is....

Understandable. Normally I wouldn't want to go cheap on a job either. But if it's something that wont affect performance and wont be seen (unless they really get under the car and look above the H-pipe) then I don't mind. Nthing wrong with doing it either way...but given the circumstanbces, I would elect to go with the cheaper and easier route.
