but also own one of those good driver mods..but my big head slows me down...

There, fixed it for ya
lol Nice!

+1 on mid to high 14s. With the gears i'ma say mid to low 14s with DRs. Stock GT's dont pull themselves down the track very well from what I've noticed.

you wont be able to, both my boss, and my best friend have tried.

And my boss is a great driver, he races in the ET point series at our local track, owns 5 stangs... a 10, an 11, a 12, a 13, AND a 14 second stang

10's - 1989 LX notch, high compression 351w
11's - 1990 LX notch, 306 h/c/i, powerdyne s/c
12's - Bullit, x pipe, catback, 4.10 gears and drag radials. (seriously 12.98@105mph)
13's - 95 GT, gears, exhaust, timing, drag radials
14's - 1995 GT vert (36k miles) exhaust, gears, drag radials

he could only pull a best of 14.5 in my car, but his 60' was .2 faster than mine.... weird

Maybe you have a factory freak. I think with more practice i coulda ran my stock Cobra to 14.2, but i never tried.

Do you powershift? Your boss cant be that good of a driver if he pulled .2 better 60' and still .4 slower in the 1/4 if he could even shift worth half a ****...

He must have short shifted 1st to get a lower 60...it will hurt your ET sometimes(does mine)

I'm proud of you AdderMk2[sm=smiley20.gif]

I drive my car with no fear of breaking it. however i believe he was not powershifting. then again, it almost sounded like he was winding it out a lil too far. I usually shift around 5k-5100

Interesting... I pull mine to 5800rpm and never power shift. My best with the stock stuff was 14.3 @ 98 w/ a 2.2 60', I'm sure at least 14.2 was reachable with a more capable driver.

have you had your car dyno'd Onyx? youll probably see that your car doesnt make too much power after 5200-5300 on stock stuff (h/c/i)

no, i have not. You're probably right, it seemed to pull to 5800 just fine, so i took it there. I've heard the GTs make power to around 5100 so i figured the Cobra stuff would be good to higher. Oh well, makes me that much happier with my times

Have you had yours dynoed? With both stock they should have similar curves...
