absolutely. You want 10deg BTDC with the spout disconnected. IF you backed off the timing with the spout plugged in, you just retarded the hell out of your timing. Reset it with spout disconnected and see how it runs.......

the codes just mean the PCM saw a problem, they alone should not make it run poorly. Clear the codes if you want to, resetting the timing with spout disconnected is the key.
