spray foam on the interior???
Hey guys, Im building up an 88 GT with T-tops. I have the car completely gutted and now that it's apart I was thinking of spraying some spray foam ( the stuff you use on houses to seal up drafts and keep bugs out...the stuff you spray and it expands) I was thinking of using it on the inside panels on the side quater panels behind the plastic and in the roof so it doesn't sound so hollow and rattle...I want this car to be nice and tight. have any of you done this or know anyone who has? Is it a good idea or bad? Thanks, Nick

I did it on one of my old cars when i was younger and had a big stereo sytem and my trunk lid rattled...it was called great stuff i think and it worked good, but made a mess.

RE: spray foam on the interior???
well Im def going to dynomat it... but I will use that on the floor and on the metal on the inner wheel wells. I was thinking of using the foam on the inside part. I probably will put a decent system in it. Not anything too crazy but im trying to elimiate road noise. I know my 89 I built a few years back was loud as hell on the inside. I want it to feel somewhat like the new cars and have a nice quite ride on the inside even though its going to be loud as hell on the outside. If you look in the pic i posted, I wanted to fill in the areas with the red X and dynomat where it is shinny maroon...Not a good idea to use both?
