i dont think you seem to understand that with stock heads, installing an aftermarket cam is useless.. it will gain you NOTHING

true it won't gain any power with stock heads, maybe he's one of those guys that wants a cam because it "sounds cool" lol

He's right... I'd plan on trying to round up some gt-40's or something comparable if you aren't wanting to drop a load of money into it. You can use heads of a 96 explorer or so and the intake too and they will help quite a bit. While you had them off, wouldn't hurt to port and polish them a little. But if you're wanting cheap low cost power that you can notice, buy a cam about like that and throw on some of those heads and you should have noticible power gains pretty cheap. It's all in what you wanna spend. By the way, the cam i used was a comp xtreme energy 35-351-8. So you're in the ball park. My car was speed density so not sure how the maf is gonna counteract with the cam, but mine hit a pretty mean lick and ran pretty decent. Good luck

Let's start here....Are the mods you listed above your only mods? If so, you'll want a CAI (or just K&N panel filter) and MAF. Do you have full exhaust or just headers? You have to be able to get air into and out of your motor before you EVER need to worry about the actual motor itself. I would also suggest the GT40 or P heads as you can get them cheap and they will provide decent gains.... You'll also want to look at an intake manifold or port the stock lower at the very least.

As Adder and others mentioned, you will not see much benefit from just throwing a cam in a 5.0 w/ stock heads/intake. They do not flow enough air for the stock cam, much less anything aftermarket. Do the mods I just mentioned and throw some 1.7 rockers on it before you bother w/ the cam......

Check out ebay, a guy earlier said he put his 40's on there for 250, maybe find the thread and ask him, or just do a search in ebay, thats simple enough too. HCI is a 1 package deal, if you do 1 without the others its pretty much gonna be useless, they all perform together, heads and an intake will do much better than just a cam, but you mightas well do a cam while your right there. All at once, or none at all, thats how i look at it.....
