If you have the stock rear than its an 8.8. It should be tagged anyway.

Also, you CAN buy a new rear but I wouldnt. You can get a used rear with gears already installed for 1/4 of the price it would cost for you to buy the rear and put it in.

Know where I could find one? I've checked with several shops around here and they're all gungho for just buying the gears and charging me $600+ for labor to put them in... If I could find a rear I could put it in myself. What are the gears in the stock 94 5.0?

okay if the car is in neutral both tires spin the same direction when in the air

in gear they spin opposite

car lays 2 rubber lines about 30 feet long (only time i ever looked at my own marks)
last time i tried doing a donut i cut the wheel all the way to the left and with no brake i just sat there spinning at like 6500k until finally it started to go...???

tire wear is identical.

also around turns this car in no way squels or hops around corners, it takes corners like a gem honestly.

read the tag and call local ford dealer thats what i did, also just get the gears from jegs er sumthing and take em to trans place they usualy do ring and pinion swaps.
