Suspension
I'm not very knowledgable in the way of cars, so I'm hoping someone will be able to help me. When I bought my 88 5.0, the guy told me that the owner before him used to race the car. I've begun to wonder if the reason why I feel every tiny bump and penny on the road is because of the suspension that the racer guy might have put on it (it's not just a slight bump I feel from things, I get jossled around in my car). I don't know if there are racing suspensions that might be good for handling on the track but not for a smooth ride or not. Are there any suggestions on a type of suspension I can get for my car to make the ride smooth? I have no interest in racing it, so keep that in mind. Thank you!

RE: Suspension
for road course cars you want the suspension to be very stiff. this keeps all the tires in full contact with the road at all time. this results in a stiffer ride. another reason is to reduce the moving of the weight in the car. in road courses you want the car to be very neutral. you dont want the car throwing all its weight on the outside tires every time you go through a corner. a good idea woud be to sell your old suspension and go for a stock setup. another option is you could trade your race suspension for someone's stock setup + some cash
