Carb or EFI?
With a carb, you'll get cooler air. With the hood sealing everything up your engine is sucking up the air that surrounds the engine. Definately warmer.
EFI? They make ram air kits for these. Most of them don't actually use 'ram air', but are actually 'air resonance boxes'. Don't ask me how they work. Something to do with the intake pulses of the engine interacting with the airstream. Blablabla.
