Has the Bottom dropped out on Notch's?

This summer you could not find a notchback for under 8g with even minor bolt ons whats happening to these little pocket racers. I dont understand how a clean car can be put up on ebay and have no bids with a reasonable price let alone a "low" price. Has the demand for thses cars dropped off since the 05' model came out or is it just me and my bad luck with trying to sell cars? Everyone I talk to has noticed it to.

It definetly hasnt changed around me. Notches are still rare as hell to find (in halfway decent condition anyway) and pricey as hell!

you have to realize the time of year as well. During the winter it is the same as with verts and bikes. Most hot rod car sales slow down, it will pick back up again when it starts to warm up again.

What about rollers/project cars? Everyone wants to buy their project cars in the winter though... I know I do.

yeah well I know it winter thats why I was only looking to get around $5000 for my notch. It's clean fresh paint nice motor I dont get it. My ebay auction just ended with 18 bids and the highest bid was $2550 Hell Ive got more than that in paint. I had great pictures and the car is next to perfect. I listed the car on here and got no responce either but I was asking to much I understand after all it was a 4 cylinder car conversion but come on is it wrong to ask for what the car is worth? I dont what to sound whiny or anything but I bought this car knowing full well these were high demand cars so why doesnt anyone want a nice notch at a fair price?

You also have to take into account that a LOT of people are unwilling to pay top dollar for a car on E-bay. I know if I can't see it, touch it, drive, I'm not buying it unless its a really sick deal and the money you saved you could fix any problems that may be hiding. I knew a guy that worked at a body shop and had a notch that was basically ripped in half and a whole new rear clip was welded on, you couldn't tell when he was done with it but I sure wouldn't want to own it!!

Personally, I wouldnt want a converted Notch unless I did the swap myself. You dont know what kind of hack job people do to the cars, especially from a few pictures on ebay. Not saying that yours was a hackjob but Im sure there are plenty out there.
