Yep somethin like that. I'm gonna look for some gt-40p's. HOPEFULLy i can talk my dad into lettin me do the H/I swap...Sometimes being 16 isnt so great.

You can tell if they are P's right away from the f-ed up exhaust manifolds. You also can see P's and GT40P Samped under the valve covers and in several other places on the head, also from the plug angle. Don't let your age discourage you from doing stuff to your car. I am 17 and I have just built a 331 w/ all sorts of stuff and am in the process of putting it in my car. Good luck.

correction, GTP will be stamped on it, not GT40P

According to this the 1986 got new flat topped pistons and heads to raise the CR from 8.4 to 9.2. In 1985 the had 8.4:1 forged pistons.

What is the combuston chamber size of the GT40P heads?
