i had a 91 convertible 5.0 gt lx i wanna kno what rear that car comes with thinking bout chaning it and also how could i bypass the ac i dont want to take anything out is there anyway to just do something with the pullies or cranks

yah if you wanna bypass the A/C just buy a belt for the same motor with no a/c. also your car came with a 8.8" rear end, no need to swap unless its cracked

different gears maybe, but unless the rearend it's self is bad you won't realy have a problem with it... and i can't imagine a 9" being a whole lot stronger

Is the axle tag still bolted to the rear cover? Mine has 3.27 stamped into it.

I believe these are the codes:
M - 2.73
Z - 3.08
E - 3.27

My a/c has been empty for 2-3 years but i left everything in there anyway.

thats not necaseraly right, but thats another topic and i know those are the right gear sizes not sure about the letters tho i think those are right too tho
