Default Fuel Questions

Hey all, got my first stang finally. Only one thing, it dosent run. I am wondering what the fuel pressure should be at the check valve? Anyone run into any other issues with this. I did get it running, drove it home, and now it wont start again. Thanks for the help, and i will have many more questions coming soon.

Default RE: Fuel Questions

I think its 38-40psi with the regulators vac line removed and plugged.

Does it try to start at all? Maybe the battery is too low to turn the engine over. The starter relay on the inner fender could be shot or even the ignition switch. I once had to start my 93 by jumping the starter relay while a buddy cranked the engine. Started right up, replaced the relay and had no problems since. Not sure what else to check as far as ignition.

If that checks out check the inertia switch behind the drivers side trim panel in the hatch, all you need is a philips. The button should be pressed in. If its up, push the button down. If thats ok does the pump hum when you turn the key? If you do the pump has power. If not do you hear a faint click coming from the passenger side kick panel? If you do the relay for the pump is working. If not, the relay is bad.
