Pet rattle snake and the dogs chained to the rims are the best damn idea ive heard. Anyone ever heard of the club? Why must we gear heads do everything the hard way.

I like the pushbutton switch in line with the ignition switch, very simple to install, and hidable, i saw an old camaro with one tucked in the ashtray. But saving a few bucks to buy a complete alarm system is worth it when you consider how much your car means to you beyond $$$ imo. [8D]

you could do what I have done before if I have had to leave my car somewhere overnight....I just pop the hood and either unplug or completely remove the plug wire between the rotor top and cyliniod(sp?). You can have the keys and try to start it but will not turn over. Don't ask how many times I have forgotten to plug it back in...[&:]If you do it right you can unplug it but by looking at it you will never know it is unplugged.

quick question... (newb question [&:])

if you have a switch for you fuel pump, and its off and you try and start the vehicle, will this harm or damage anything??
I had a switch running to my fuel pump in my 88 GT. I had the switch running right along side of my center console. If you dont turn on the switch and you start your car it will start, start to bog and than shut off after a few seconds. If someone tries to steal it they might just think that something is wrong with your car lol I plan on doing this in my 93 GT soon also. Just make sure you mount the switch somewhere where you are not going to hit it with your legs or something. Turning off your fuel pump at 100mph on the highway could be dangerous
