well i have cash but i want to take it slow.....i woudl like to put about 1000k in it now then really dump some cash in in the spring
Save up some more money and be patient. I am currently getting all my ducks in a row for a "Documented budget build" im going to completely document, step by step, what i am doing to my car. and im aiming for 300rwhp for less than $2000. im hoping to stay under $1800.

Its going to be a big deal for me, to see people actually realize that you dont need the expensive aluminum heads... like trick flow.... you can make the same, if not better power with used parts... which is what im going to be doing.

stay tuned.

Hang onto that $1000, for several reasons, you haven't had the car long enough to be positive all the bugs are worked out, kinda use the money as a nestegg, also thats half way to a h/c/i combo kit from Trickflow! You could start with simple stuff like headers, exhaust, gears, MAF/TB(not really agood idea 'til you figure out your h/c/i) , CAI, suspension upgrades, it's up to you... i'd save it for spring then you'll have a load of cash... maybe for a supercharger!

Start gears, thatll be around 500, then spend the other 500 on suspension. In the spring, finish the suspension, the do headers and HCI swap.
$500 on gears???
People think gears are cheap! Im spending a total of $815 for my gears all said and done.

3.90's - $165
FRPP Install Kit - $130
Speedo Gear - $25
RP Gear Oil - $40
Install - $325 (BEST price around me too)
TA Girdle Cover - $130

Now, yes the girdle cover was unnecessary but I needed to run it. But still, knock off the 130 and its still $685.

yea it all depends on what brand, how far into it you get, and such, not everyone realizes you need an install kit, oil, and many time a trak lok rebuild... and you might as well do it all once and do it right... cause the smell of gear oil isn't something i'd want in my garage year round...lol

And that $815 was not including a rebuild either. The kit is like $50 shipped and plus another $150 to intall it. It would of ended up being a $1000 dollar job on the rear alone. People think that they can get their whole rear done for like $300 dollars...
