Default Roller Rockers Valve covers HEads Help!

I am in the process of a lot of engine work. Basically I need to know if my 1.6 roller rockers mounted on my Gt 40 Y heads will fit under the stock valve covers? Looks tight, I need to get this finished in the next couple of days so I don't think taller covers is an option. I know I read that some people dented the stockers to make them fit. If so where to dent and best way of doing it.

Thanks,
This thing is going to be sweet when its done

Are the GT-40's ported? Why not just spend alittle bit more and go with taller.

Its not a matter of the $ its the timing. I need to get this thing wrapped up and won't be able to get a set of taller valve covers in time.

if u get the crane cams 1.6 rocker they will fit under the stock valve covers but u have to take the baffle off where u poor the iol in because that rocker will hit the baffle but thats about it everything else will be fine

I'm thinking of running two sets of gaskets with some blue silicone between them till I get the taller valve covers. Actually just tried them again and seemed to fit even without a gasket, of course the engine isn't running yet. I think the splash shield is jut that, to make sure if you take the filler cap off while engine is running that it doesn't spit oil in your face. I guess I can make that concession as well.

i think if you take the baffles out then you can run up to a 1.7 rocker. so the 1.6's should clear fine if you remove them.
