Default 285/40/17 on a fox

i just ordered my 17x9 chrome 03 cobra replica wheels. i have 245/40/17 for the front
will a 285/40/17 fit on the back with no rubbing oh and it is lowered 2"

I am not sure if they will fit or not but I have 275/40/17/drag radials 17x9 rim mounted on a fox body and they rub when cornering.

it's not lowered and it rubs on the inside of the wheel, not real bad but I wouldn't go any wider on my car but that's just me. There might be a little modifications that can be made to adjust or maybe just a big hammer.
