Default Ignition #2

I have a 87 gt, the same thing that happened to Burn happenend
with my car. I replaced the Ignition Module, cap, rotor, and coil.
It ran fine for two days and now it will not start and has no spark
from the coil. What do I look at next?

It lasted about 2 days. Then for 2 days after that the car would start
then cut out and have no spark. It progressively got worse to where now it won't fire at all.
I tried the old coil in and got the same results. The TFI came from Napa, is it
possible to get a bad one?

I tried two different modules on mine and it still didn't work. Sounds like we might be having the same problem. I changed the oil pan gasket the day before my problem started so im thinking it might actually be a loose wire. But it still doesn't make sense because im getting power everywhere except the to the cap.

I talked with a ford mechanic yesterday and he said if the module
is good and the coil is good the only thing left is the stator assembly
in the distributor, this is where the tfi module plugs. He suggested
buying a rebuilt distributor because trying to replace the stator and pickup
is a total pain. I priced the distibutor at Napa and it runs about $100.00
I am trying this tommorrow and will let you know what happens.

He is right, very much of a pain to replace. I would go for the new distributor and save yourself the headache.<edited><editID>Sean</editID><editDate>37818.9774305556</editDate></edited>

Friggin distributor didn't do the trick. Looking at ignition
module again. Had the original and the replacement tfi checked
and both passed and I have power going to everything.
