ok, i got an 87 gt. my cruise control hasn't worked since i got it. i've never been able to figure out why. some dude told me that it could be the "speedo" or something under the fender side. i'm clueless. anyone have any ideas on how to fix this???

Not sure about the speedo stuff but your cruise control stuff is all inside the fender on your driver side... I think

first thing is to check codes. make sure the speed sensor is not throwing a code...then check linkage, both to the throttle and the vacuum to the inner fenderwell. after that pull the plastic inner fenderwell off and look at the speed control motor. sometimes the nipples (lol, i said nipples) break off and it's just a matter of supergluing them back on. mine was broken off from someone probably hitting the fender at some point...you can also check the wiring in the steering wheel and the fuse.
