couple timing questions
so i advanced my timing some to see what kinda response it would get..
the first time i did it i think i did it to far, because under hard accel i heard a clattering noise. (I assume this is what everyone calls pinging? )
Also my second question is how much are the marks split apart? I wasnt for sure when I did it, But I lowerd it back to the first mark to the right of 10btc are these marks in 2 Deg intervals or what?
All and all it feels a tad better atleast crusing is smoother and a small ammount of better performance but anything is better for my old worn out 5.0

RE: couple timing questions
yeah 2* per mark.
use some white paint or chalk or crayon to really get the lines to show up.
also, you have to follow the correct procedure or it won't take it.
1. start it
2. remove the SPOUT
3. time it
4. plug the SPOUT back in
if you don't pull the SPOUT it won't accept it correctly , also do the tps , then reset the puter by pulling the batt cable for 15 minutes.
12-14* on premium is about where you want to be.

RE: couple timing questions
yes it is, and make sure your on the right plug with the timing light, alot of people assume that #1 is the first on the right. the 5.0 motor, the #1 cyl is first on the left.
